A case of Strongyloides Hyperinfection – part of his gut had to be removed for obstruction. This is a H&E stained sections showing multiple Strongyloides larvae cut at different levels (dark staining larger structures). He also had a high Strongyloides antibody titre (antibodies in blood). He responded well to surgery and ivermectin — at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
